Greer Housing Authority Maintenance Emergency Procedures
After hours, report maintenance emergencies (see list below) to the Maintenance Emergency Line at 864.968.9081.
All non-emergency concerns must wait until the office opens to be reported.
During regular business hours, all maintenance concerns are to be communicated to the office at 864.877.5471 extension 0.
Emergency Issues:
- Gas odor or gas leak
- CO detector - Leave apartment, call 911, then call the Maintenance Emergency Line
- Fire - Leave apartment, call 911, then call the Maintenance Emergency Line
- Serious water leak - (burst pipe, etc.)
- Toilet won't flush (Only if there is only 1 toilet in the unit)
- Sewage backup
- Inability to lock doors (creating a security issue)
- No heat (Only if outside temperatures are below 60 degrees, per the local weather station)
- No A/C (Only if outside temperatures are higher than 85 degrees, per the local weather station)
- Inoperable or stuck elevator
- Vandalism resulting in security problem
